My husband and I were comfortable in our small stylish two-bedroom condo until the huge surprise of twins came along. We were ok for a while with the twins in one room because they don’t take up much space, but once they started walking at 9 months we were feeling the pressure to expand. We needed a larger home with a yard and fast! Ian had an initial meeting with us regarding our specific needs as well as our budgetary limitations. There were so many moving parts and he handled it all with grace, ease and charm. I probably asked him to look at 30 houses with me and he always made it fun. He is highly talented technologically and made excellent use of the relevant search engines and real estate databases to quickly find us a variety of homes for sale in the best school districts. He did not waste our time with homes that were out of our price range or not in line with our needs. Ian is A Master with contract negotiations and I laugh at how genius this man is. He will go to ANY length to make every puzzle piece fit together: Finding the right buyers for our condo, researching the appropriate house to seamlessly maneuver this crazy family into, and one we could grow into. Throughout the entire process, he managed to sell our condo for an excellent price without breaking a sweat. He knows every area of San Diego like the back of his hand and nothing gets past his eye for detail. Oh yeah, and there’s no such thing as a “stupid question”! He was so patient with every minute qualm or question I had and basically shot straight from the hip if a house wasn’t entirely perfect for us. I was kept In the loop throughout, and Ian respected any and all decisions and hesitations. Most of all, Ian is highly gregarious with an engaging personality. "We're pretty seasoned in the house buying process. Having purchased 9 homes and gone through the laborious process of closing, we were now faced with our 10th purchase. Ian came as a recommendation from our dear friend and they were right on with his referral. Ian had exactly the approach we were looking for, proactively gathering our needs of home qualities and neighborhoods. Then he started to show his breadth of experience by recommending areas and certain homes we may be interested in. This is where he shined, cause we found neighborhoods and homes we never would have considered but yet, were exactly what we were looking for. We had collectively lived in San Diego for over 25 years but he showed us places that we never knew existed in this great little town. We actually ended up finding our new home in one of the neighborhoods that we had not originally considered but one he had recommended. Of course, his duties had just begun and negotiating and closing is where he exceeded our expectations as well. His attention to detail and solid advice were invaluable. He had a great understanding of how to approach our sellers (and their agent) in order to maximize our savings, minimize our asking price and gain some luxuries. "My husband and I have had many experiences buying and selling property in both the United States and Europe. In recent years our property acquisitions and sales have been handled by Ian Arnett. Ian is an amazing agent and a “can do “ kind of guy. Our experience has been that he truly knows the San Diego County real estate market and how to list, sell and /or buy for clients. He is a true professional and makes the process of both buying and selling easy. When we first worked with Ian we were in the U.S. for only a few days and wanted to look at some property. Even though we didn’t give him much notice, he was able to schedule a number of properties for us to see in less than forty-eight hours. When we made the decision to buy we were still out of the country again and Ian made the buying process very easy even though we were far away. "In the last three years, we have used the services of Ian Arnett to both Purchase and Sell properties in San Diego County. We purchased a Condo in a downtown high-rise on the edge of Little Italy. The entire deal was completed after just one short visit to the property. The seller had multiple offers above the asking price. With Ian’s negotiating skills and persistence we were able to close Escrow within two weeks, for cash, at the original asking price. Just this year, we listed and sold a small Studio condo in the UTC area. Again, the entire process was handled professionally and with accuracy. We had one small recommended reduction in price after three weeks. and the property sold just a few days later. Ian had noted all the showings and comments, and went straight back to someone he knew was ready, but at a slightly reduced price.
